i knew someone can be disfellowshipped, publicly/privately reproved or dissasociated themselves.. but i never heard of marking.. can someone please care to explain that term to me?.

my "cousin in law" (if some relation like that exists) is "expulasado", and all my wifes family is pretty hardcore JW, elders and stuff. they don't talk to him. they have little contact with me since they noticed that i don't really care about "the truth" and since word got around half the globe that i am inactive and what not. tengo ganas de enseñarles la despertad! que dice que no hay que decidir entre la religion y la familia... perros chucos.

i think it's "señalar" in spanish.
many JWs i know never heard of it. and i didn't even know i was marked, it was never publicly announced, nor was i ever told about it by the elders. but when the word finally got around, they pretty much treated me like i was disfellowshipped.
the awake about music was left behind and ended up at the break station... and one of the girls working was reading it and burst out laughing..... are these people serious listen what it says.... after listening to heavy metal music i abused alcohol and started using drugs......... they can't really believe that?

let say noah did manage to get all the species into the ark... about half of them would have been predators and the other half natural prey.. are we going to belive that they went without eating for 40 days and nights?
or the ridiculous theory as the wt would have it that noah fed them nice tasty bales of straw which they happily munched on?.
and even if one of these two exhuses were true, when the animals were let out of the ark into a world now deverstated by a flood, then wouldn't they have continued eating eachother???
quarterback, that's off topic, but you'd better get your info straight on flavius josephus and his supposed mentioning of jesus (hint: it's fake).
if i believe in his existence? no. at least not the way the christians put it. maybe there was some vagabond teacher with a few disciples called yahoshuah, that wasn't uncommon. but maybe there wasn't. i don't really care.
about his teachings: we don't know what he taught. he didn't leave any writings. and the gospels contradict each other. and he supposedly believed in a global flood with thousands of animals on a little wooden box. so if he indeed existed, he might have had a few nice teachings for the people of his time, but not for educated people of our day.
his place in history? well, i can't deny that this jesus character shaped much of our history. mostly to the bad.

a friend of mine says kabbalah is not religious, but rather a scientific approach to matters.
i me it seems to have strong religious characteristics and the people i have meat seem very cultic.
i must admit that i have not looked deeply into kabbalistic teachings.. what is your assessment?.
is esotericism a religion? it doesn't matter where you put it, it still stinks.
it's the basis for some religions and cults, but it stinks right on it's own too.

i picked this thought up elsewhere, and it's been worming its way through my brain.... a friend of a friend was notified not long ago that one of his jw peers since childhood had died.
in itself, this is not too remarkable, because these guys are now into thier 60s, and mortality certainly does begin to raise its ugly head at about that time in one's life: either your friends die and leave you, or you die and leave them.. but the question came up, "can we say that roger, personally, was living "in the time of the end" if the end didn't come while he was alive?".
it seems obvious that poor dead roger was not living in the time of the end.. the question that flows from this is, "am _i_, personally, living in the "time of the end"?.
the end already came. well, "came" is not the correct translation, "the end is present". invisibly of course. since 1945.

Because DEATH will be no more. So there CAN'T be any eating of meat (what would provide it, without dying?).what about plants? will they live forever too? what about bacteria and fungus? what are white sharks going to eat? sea weed? how about leeches? are spiders going to eat seeds? any info on flatworms? polar bears, are they going to eat snow? oh, i love christians. they are so funny...
